Well, this is our first time to blog so we'll try our best. Since we are moving to a country in the Pacific Rim for five months we thought it would be good to have this blog to keep our friends and family updated on how things are going there. Plus we know that the grandparents especially will want to see pictures of Maelyn (that's her in the pig tails.)
We can't wait to get there and packing is underway! Maelyn is excited about her ride on the big airplane and is happy as long as "B" is there (her teddy bear). I'm sure you'll hear more about "B" in the coming posts.
Our plans right now are to leave Friday, arrive at our destination in the capital on Saturday and be there for about 3 weeks for language and culture study. A new language...yikes! Then we'll move to a new town where Kim will teach English and Jeff will be working in Community Development. Maelyn of course is planning on riding Motor Cycles and eating noodles and hoping our new country has lots of gum!
Well that's it for now... we'll keep you posted.

Thinking of you and yours as you travel and start your new jobs in your new country. Thanks for thinking of all of us by doing a blog. It's great. We will miss you but the pictures and updates will be good. We are thinking about you all and hope that you enjoy the warm weather and get settle in quickly with language and your new place.
I think finding gum shouldn't be a problem. Just remember Jeff, don't let the salesmen rough you up if you don't buy from them. Can't wait to hear from from y'all! Be safe on your motorbike!!! Jane and I are keeping you in our thoughts!
